Chapter History

ZTA Bay State Alumnae Chapter began in 1999 as Massachusetts first and only alumnae group. The chapter consists of women in and around the Boston area. In 2001 the women of Bay State helped with the installation and initiation of Zeta Tau Alpha’s 229th link – Merrimack College.

On March 2nd, 2024, the Bay State Chapter celebrated its 25th birthday as a Zeta Tau Alpha Alumnae Chapter at Mission on the Bay in Swampscott Massachusetts. Fourteen sisters, both current and former, along with two National Representatives, enjoyed a “Bay”-watch themed brunch with bay views and delicious food selections. Sisters were able to reminisce and share stories over food and fun including raffles and goodie bags in true “birthday party” fashion! 

The Bay State chapter consists of dynamic women who want to share their ZTA memories and meet new people. The average age range is 22-50 years of age, but the chapter would love to attract new members within and outside this range. There is always something to learn from every member that joins!
